Spring Break, it’s a time for every college student to pause the monotonous routine of school and travel to enjoy new and exciting cultures both at home and abroad. The Water Tower interviewed students at both ends of the karmic spectrum, bringing you a whiff of the spring break you can only dream of recreating for yourself next year.
Cancun, Mexico: 10 days, 3 males
WT- What do you think was the most moving experience of your Spring Break?
Dan H.- Uh Probably uh getting there and looking off the balcony to the waves and realizing we were finally in Cancun
Jon M.- When Paul got a Tattoo of Elmer Fudd on his ass in a club. (it’s a henna)
WT- What have you learned about yourself during this week in Cancun?
Paul F.- In Mexico if you drink for four days you’ll shit for 2 days
WT- What positive impact do you think you’ve made on the Yucatan area and the local population?
Dan H.- Paul only made negative impacts, we were really friendly
Paul F.- We hooked up American culture with Mexican culture, like we showed them things about American culture like how to drink and they showed us a lot about partying
WT- What is your favorite thing about the Mexican culture/customs?
Dan H.- The people are really laid back, they know how to have a good time.
Paul F.- I like how you can get whatever the hell you want, people you don’t even know will just taken you places.
WT- If you could sum up the meaning of spring break in one sentence what would you say?
Dan H.- Dry Humping
Paul F.- Pepto Bismol and sun screen that’s what Mexico’s all about
WT- Any final words of wisdom for spring breakers?
Jon M.- When you get drunk don’t talk about politics, religion, or sports, especially with British and Canadians
