“Vota Sí”

-Rallying cry of pro- Chavez supporters, urging passage of the newly-reformed constitution. Hugo Chavez, president of Venezuela, would be granted broad new powers under the new constitution, dividing the country between supporters and those who fear the implications of those powers.

“I can look you up, find where you live, and blow you up.”

-Popular daytime talk show host Montel Williams, to a group of reporters, in a recent public outburst. Williams later apologized for his comments, saying he mistook the reporters for a different group of reporters, whom he apparently had beef with. WT says: Take it to Springer!

“They are raping the whole electoral system.”

-Chess champion and Russian opposition leader Garry Kasparov, on the election held in Russia this weekend. Although president Vladimir Putin’s government claims that the elections were democratic, the likelihood of that is slim.

“Mr. Paul, are you going to run as an independent?”

-Mark Strauss, who submitted a video question to last week’s CNN-YouTube Republican debates. Ron Paul, a favorite among college students, reaffirmed his commitment to the Republican Party. Paul is anti-war and pro-immigration. Now, tell us why you’re a Republican?

“Ho ho ho!”

-Old school Santa greeting, which has now become controversial because of it’s unintended derogatory message to women. No, we’re not making this up, mall Santas are now under pressure to replace the old greeting with “ha ha ha.” What’s next to go? The classic “bitch slut whore?”
