Get ready, because your friends at The Water Tower will be covering some of the best shows this season has to offer. If you hit a dope show and want to write about it, contact us!

Higher Ground
The Water Tower is not a big fan of
Higher Ground. Sure, we’ll give them credit for being the only semi-legit music venue in town, but that’s not a really impressive consolation. Straight up, the people who work at Higher Ground are grade-A assholes.
Take the account of sophomore Allen Roth, “I went to see Sound Tribe back in September, and when I got to the front of the line, they told me to go outside and sober up. I wasn’t drunk. I told the dude that I wasn’t drunk, but he just kept telling me to go out and sober up, or else the wouldn’t let me in at all. So I sat out in the cold in the Burger King parking lot for a half hour until they’d let me back in.”
Unfortunately for Allen and the rest of us, all sorts of sick bands are coming to Higher Ground this spring. We’ll just have to deal with their anal antics until a better venue opens. And make sure you appear sober when you’re on line. But don’t look too sober. Just ask Allen. A sampling:
