This section deconstructs the styles of today. The tripartite nature of the section demonstrates the intersection of image-word-mathematics.

8:30 am: Wakes up slightly hungover. Just because he’s interested in promoting livable wages and trying to live as green as possible doesn’t mean he won’t say no to a growler…or two.

9:35 am: Bikes to class, even though the roads are still a little bit icy and that only 20 or so people can actually ride up the hill without going into cardiac arrest. He is one of those 20 people.

10:08 am: Majorly excited for spring to come-then most of his classes will have outdoor hiking field trips. Not that he hasn’t been going; winter/snow/mud/ice don’t stop him.

11:45 am: Hangs out in front of the library for a few hours. Rolls many cigarettes, catches the eyes of many girls and boys, does some light protesting for Dumps=Stumps. Has to admit, it is a catchy tagline.

2:15 pm: Skips class to attempt to talk to Fogel-again. If he doesn’t agree to most of their requests, then they might have to extend the hunger strike.

3:45 pm: Runs into fellow SLAP friend and they vigorously discuss another peaceful, but big impact demonstration they could do. A January swim in the lake?A naked ice skate? A naked run through campus? (oh wait…)

5:30 pm: Gets home, helps himself to his roommate’s rice and dahl. Dreads the week when he will literally be dreaming of dahl.

7:45 pm: Gets together with some friends for a drum circle. The neighbors always bang on the wall/ceiling, but usually that only adds to the beats.

8:00 pm: Interrupted by his Mom calling him. She tries to ask him about what he’s planning on doing after graduation, but he starts lecturing her on the impact of her carbon footprint-did she really need to drive to the supermarket today to buy the fruit that came on a plane all the way from Venezuela? He convinces her to at least attempt walk a few places and buy local.
