The Second Annual Water Tower Free Speech Report

Free Speech

Every now and then, The Water Tower likes to remind its readers that “free speech” is more than just two words that get thrown around just as carelessly as Lindsay Lohan on a sloppy Friday night.  It is more than a passive right that you can exercise only when you feel like it. To support free speech is to unconditionally allow those who think differently than you to speak their minds.  People may say or write things that make you angry, that make your blood boil, that enrage you through the core of your soul, but if you are a true believer, you, like Voltaire, will fight for their right to say (or write) it.
